Aunt Phyllis' Green Beans in Walnut Sauce
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 14 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 12 teaspoons salt
- 14 cup wine vinegar, may want to use less
- 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons ground walnuts, can substitute sesame seeds
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the beans and mix.
- Drop the beans into enough salted boiling water to cover them and cook for about 10 minutes, until tender.
- Drain beans in a colander.
- Toss the beans together with the the sauce and serve immediately or cover with foil and serve within 45 minutes.
