Touch of Orient Chicken - Oven Variation

  2. Spray dutch oven with cooking spray and place over medium heat.

  4. Brown chicken over medium

  6. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and tomatoes.

  8. Pour sauce over chicken.

  10. Cover and cook in oven at 180c for 1.5 hours or until chciken in cooked through and tender.
  11. Optional: Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  12. To Freeze: Cool, bag, label and freeze.
  13. To Serve: Warm in microwave to desired temperature
  14. Note: To toast sesame seeds: Preheat oven to 180c.
  15. Spread sesame seeds in a 9-inch pie or cake pan.
  16. Toast about 5 minutes or until golden.
  17. Or toast seeds in a dry skillet over low heat 3 or 4 minutes (watch carefully as they can burn very quickly).
