Chocolate Bread Pudding

  1. Butter an 8X8X2 glass baking or casserole dish.
  2. Place bread in dish and drizzle with butter; toss to coat.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat milk and cream to a simmer; remove from heat.
  4. Whisk egg yolks and sugar together in a large bowl.
  5. Slowly whisk in cream mixture.
  6. Pour this mixture over bread; cover and let stand 1 hour to absorb.
  7. Preheat oven to 350.
  8. Bake pudding until just set in center, about 45 minutes.
  9. WHILE BREAD IS BAKING MAKE SAUCE:.
  10. In a small bowl, whisk the sour cream and yogurt until smooth.
  11. Add the orange juice, orange zest and sugar.
  12. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  13. Refrigerate until ready to use.
