Pear Crumble

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 400F.
  2. 2 Combine the pears with the zest, sugar, nutmeg, and 1/2 cup water in the bottom of a large baking dish.
  3. 3 Mix the dry ingredients together, then rub in the butter.
  4. 4 Sprinkle this mixture on top of the pears and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the top is golden.
  5. Serve warm with low-sugar custard.
