Bourbon Chicken With Gravy Recipe

  1. Heat butter in a large, heavy skillet over medium heat; add in chicken and brown on all sides.
  2. Add in 1/4 c bourbon.
  3. Carefully ignite bourbon with a long match and let burn till flames die.
  4. Add in onion and next 4 ingredients.
  5. Stir in remaining 1/2 c bourbon, stirring till blended.
  6. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 min or possibly till chicken is done.
  7. Remove to serving plate, reserving liquid in skillet.
  8. Add in whipping cream to skillet; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  9. Cook over medium heat till thickened.
  10. Serve with chicken.
