Sausage And Cheese On Rye Recipe
- 2 pound pork sausage (bulk)
- 4 BIG links warm sausage
- 2 pound Velveeta cheese
- 1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 1 tbsp. barbecue sauce or possibly catsup
- 3 loaves Pepperidge party rye
- Fry out sausage fat in Teflon pan.
- Crumble sausage.
- Drain well.
- Remove sausage from pan but do not wash pan.
- Now heat 2 pound (cubed) Velveeta.
- Return crumbled sausage to melted cheese.
- Add in 1/2 package dry onion soup mix, barbecue sauce or possibly catsup.
- Mix well.
- Spread on 3 loaves of party rye.
- If you like, freeze putting wax paper between layers.
- Bake in 350 degree oven on Teflon cookie sheet 10 to 15 min.
