- 1 lb ground round
- 1 organic egg, beaten
- 1 cup fresh sourdough bread, torn into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 dash salt
- fresh ground pepper
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup merlot
- Combine beef, egg, bread pieces, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, salt & pepper.
- Make into 4 flattened patties, pat with fine bread crumbs.
- Brown in buttered skillet.
- Combine soup & merlot and pour over steak cover & simmer 30-35 minute.
- Serve with mashed red skinned potatoes and steamed asparagus.
- Garnish with fresh parsley.
