Sally's Oriental Salad
- 1 lb coleslaw mix
- 12 cup canola oil
- 2 (3 ounce) packages beef-flavor ramen noodles
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 cups chopped green onions
- 13 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup sliced almonds (slivered)
- 1 (4 ounce) jar sunflower seeds
- Salad -.
- Put coleslaw in a large salad bowl.
- Crush Ramen Noodles while in pkg.
- (I use a wooden spoon to crush noodles.)
- DO NOT COOK THE NOODLES!
- Put both pkgs.
- Ramen Noodles on top of coleslaw - add chopped green onions, and top with sunflower seeds.
- Dressing -.
- Mix canola oil, sugar, vinegar, and dry seasoning mix from noodles.
- (Mix well in a jar or something with a lid.)
- refrigerate until ready to serve salad.
- When ready to serve mix salad dressing once again.
- Pour over top of salad.
- Mix salad and dressing well and serve.
- NOTE - The salad can be made the night before and kept in a refrigerator.
- Do Not put dressing on salad until ready to serve.
- The salad is WONDERFUL and easy to make.
- I double this recipe if serving a large group.
