Teriyaki sauce
- 1 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 cup water
- 4 clove garlic
- 1 inch of ginger root
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp corn starch
- 1 water
- Peel and chop garlic and ginger as fine as possible.
- Do not crush.
- Mix all the overnight preparation ingredients in an air tight container, and leave in the fridge overnight.
- Next day, take mixture from the fridge, combine with sugar and honey and heat on stove until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Let cool and store in a jar in the fridge or consume immediately.
- Better to let sit for a couple of days.
- To thicken, mix cornstarch with a bit of water in a cup and stir or add more water until dissolved.
- Stir in with the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Stir until thickened and let cool before storing in the fridge.
