Teriyaki sauce

  1. Peel and chop garlic and ginger as fine as possible.
  2. Do not crush.
  3. Mix all the overnight preparation ingredients in an air tight container, and leave in the fridge overnight.
  4. Next day, take mixture from the fridge, combine with sugar and honey and heat on stove until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. Let cool and store in a jar in the fridge or consume immediately.
  6. Better to let sit for a couple of days.
  7. To thicken, mix cornstarch with a bit of water in a cup and stir or add more water until dissolved.
  8. Stir in with the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
  9. Stir until thickened and let cool before storing in the fridge.
