STOVE TOP Stuffed Tomatoes

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Cut tops off tomatoes; remove seeds and pulp, leaving 1/4-inch-thick shells.
  3. Chop pulp; drain.
  4. Set aside for later use.
  5. Discard tomato tops and seeds.
  6. Invert shells on paper towels to drain.
  7. Meanwhile, combine water and spread in large bowl.
  8. Stir in stuffing mix and reserved pulp.
  9. Let stand 5 min.
  10. Place tomato shells in shallow baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; fill with stuffing mixture.
  11. Bake 20 min.
  12. or until tomatoes are tender and stuffing is heated through.
