Grilled Ham and Chikuwa with Mayonnaise

  1. Cut the chikuwa in half lengthwise.
  2. Slice ham to the same size as the chikuwa.
  3. Spread out the chikuwa with the outside (the browned side) facing up.
  4. Top with ham, and roll it up.
  5. Skewer with a pick.
  6. Heat a frying pan and spread vegetable oil.
  7. Grill both sides of the chikuwa roll (from step 2).
  8. When both sides are golden brown, add mayonnaise and coarsely ground black pepper and serve.
