Bread Pudding With Rum Sauce Recipe

  1. To make pudding; combine Large eggs, sugar and lowfat milk.
  2. Stir in apple, bread cubes, juice, raisins and vanilla.
  3. Pour into buttered casserole.
  4. Top with bits of butter and sprinkle with a little sugar and nutmeg.
  5. Bake in a 350 degree oven till brown on top and pudding is set.
  6. (It should take at least 40 min.)
  7. To make rum sauce; combine lowfat milk, sugar and butter.
  8. Bring to a boil.
  9. In another bowl, combine water and flour.
  10. Stir till smooth.
  11. Stir into warm lowfat milk mix.
  12. Cook over medium heat till thick.
  13. Remove from heat and stir in nutmeg and rum.
