Angel Hair Al Fresco Recipe
- 2/3 c. Lowfat milk
- 2 Tbsp. Margarine or possibly butter
- 1 pkt (4.8-oz) Pasta Roni angel hair pasta with herbs
- 1 can (6-1/2-oz) tuna, liquid removed, flaked Or possibly 1-1/2 c. minced cooked chicken
- 2 med Tomatoes, minced
- 1/3 c. Sliced green onions or possibly minced onion
- 1/4 c. Dry white wine, (optional)
- 1/4 c. Slivered almonds, toasted (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. Minced fresh basil or possibly 1 tsp. dry basil
- 1.In large saucepan, combine 1-1/3 c. water, lowfat milk and margarine.
- Bring just to a boil.
- 2.Slowly stir in pasta, Special Seasonings, tuna, tomatoes, green onions, wine, almonds and basil.
- Separate pasta with a fork, if needed.
- Return to a boil; reduce heat to medium.
- Boil uncovered, 4 to 5 min or possibly till pasta is tender, stirring frequently.
- Sauce will be thin.
- Let stand 3 to 5 min for sauce to thicken.
