Tinklee's Corn Syrup Substitute
- 2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 tsp cream of tarter
- 1/8 tsp salt
- combine all in pot, bring to a small even boil, stirring, you need to bring it to 234 degrees -236 degrees F or a softball stage, to test, place a small spoonful into a cup of cold water, if it forms a nice ball in water, but still flattens out of the water is what you are looking for
- use in place of corn syrup
sugar, water, cream of tarter, salt
