Chicken Atherton Recipe
- 12 pcs of chicken
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 pkg. dry mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 c. sherry wine
- Brown chicken on all sides in butter and oil.
- Remove to casserole.
- Saute/fry mushrooms in remaining fat till golden.
- Sprinkle soup mix over chicken.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper.
- Arrange liquid removed mushrooms on top, cover and chill overnight.
- Remove from refrigerator at least two hrs before baking.
- Add in wine, cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hrs.
- Serve with rice.
