New Years Day (Gone All Afternoon) Stew Recipe
- 3 pound chuck, cubed
- 1 can Campbell's Tomato soup
- 1 soup can water
- 1 pkg. Au Jus gravy mix or possibly beef bouillon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 potatoes, quartered
- 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 3 stalks celery, 1/4" slices
- 1 green pepper
- Combine ingredients in a 5 qt Crock-Pot.
- Cover and cook 5 hrs on medium or possibly if using a Dutch oven at 275 degrees.
- During final hour of cooking, mix cornstarch with some of the juices in separate dish and add in to pot to thicken.
