Asparagus And Crunchy Orange Top Recipe
- 1 lb Fresh asparagus
- 1 tsp Margarine
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Almonds -- minced
- 1/4 c. Low-sugar orange marmalade
- Snap off tough ends of the asparagus.
- Remove scales if you like.
- Arrange asparagus in a vegetable steamer over boiling water.
- Cover and steam 4-min till crisp tender.
- Drain; arrange on a serving platter and keep hot.
- Heat margarine in a small saucepan over low heat; add in almonds, and saute/fry' till lightly toasted.
- Stir in marmalade; cook till heated.
- Spoon over asparagus.
