Italian chicken sausage and pasta

  1. cook pasta according to package
  2. slice sausage into small ovals and brown in nonstick fry pan.
  3. on med/low heat, melt butter in sauce pan
  4. once butter is melted, mix in half of the flour.
  5. mixture should become a thick doughy paste
  6. add milk and stir vigorously using a whisk until mixture becomes smooth.
  7. add remaining flour and more milk if needed
  8. once mixture is smooth and creamy, add nutmeg, basil, and rosemary.
  9. mix while adding
  10. add parmesan cheese to sauce mixture.
  11. mix with whisk.
  12. sauce will thicken
  13. place bed of cooked pasta on plate, add desired chicken sausage and smother with sauce
