Ham Biscuits

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Lightly butter 2 baking sheets.
  3. In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients.
  4. With your fingers (they work best, really!
  5. ), rub the butter in to the flour mixture until thoroughly combined.
  6. Stir in the buttermilk all at once.
  7. Add ham.
  8. Stir quickly but gently until a soft dough forms.
  9. Drop by the heaping tablespoonful onto prepared baking sheets.
  10. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden.
  11. Cool on a rack.
