Old Fashioned Beef Stew(Crockery Cooking)

  1. Coat beef with flour; set excess flour aside.
  2. In large skillet, brown meat on all sides in oil.
  3. In crock-pot put veggies on bottom, top with beef and remaining ingredients.
  4. Pour water over all.
  5. Cover and cook 8 to 10 hours.
  6. Turn control on high (remove meat).
  7. Use leftover flour mixed in 2 tablespoons water to thicken stew; stir in.
  8. Return meat to pot.
  9. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
