Granny's Cornbread Dressing
- 1 pan of southern cornbread (not the Yankee sweet stuff)
- 2 biscuits
- 3 slices of stale white bread
- 1 lg. carton chicken
- turkey stock
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 onion, chopped fine
- 2 stalks of celery, chopped fine
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbl. dried sage
- 1/2 can oysters (optional)
- Crumble up the stale cornbread and biscuits or bread into a large bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.
- Bake at 350 degrees for thirty minutes in a greased 9x12 baking pan until the top is brown.
