Strawberry Banana Layered Mold

  1. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in orange soda.
  2. Refrigerate until slightly thickened.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup thickened gelatin.
  4. Fold fruit pieces into remaining thickened gelatin; spoon into 3-cup mold.
  5. Refrigerate until almost set.
  6. Thoroughly combine reserved gelatin and prepared whipped topping.
  7. Spoon over clear layer; refrigerate until firm.
  8. Unmold to serve.
