Cracker Dessert

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Line a cookie pan with non-stick foil.
  3. Cover bottom of pan with crackers/pretzels.
  4. Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium high heat.
  5. You can use Crisco to make it non dairy/vegan.
  6. Bring to a boil and cook until foamy (about 3 minutes).
  7. Pour toffee over crackers/pretzels and spread evenly.
  8. Let sit for about 5 minutes.
  9. Bake for 10 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven.
  11. While mixture is still hot, sprinkle with chips/nuts/coconut, allow to soften and melt, spread evenly.
  12. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, place in warm oven for about a minute until chips have softened, swirl on top.
  13. Allow to cool.
  14. For best results cool in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  15. Break into pieces and enjoy!
