Hamburg-Noodle Bake
- 4 lb. ground beef
- 3 large onions, chopped
- 1 c. chopped green peppers
- 16 oz. noodles
- 3 (10 3/4 oz.) cans tomato soup
- 4 c. shredded American cheese
- 1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
- 1/4 c. chopped pimiento
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 4 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 2 c. water
- In large skillet, cook beef, onions and green peppers; drain fat.
- Cook noodles; drain well.
- Return noodles to skillet.
- Stir in meat, tomato soup, cheese, chili sauce, pimiento, salt, chili powder, pepper and water; mix well.
- Divide mixture between 2 (13 x 9 x 2-inch) baking dishes.
- Toss bread crumbs with melted butter.
- Sprinkle atop casserole.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
- Makes 2 casseroles, 12 servings each.
