Artichoke Spinach Dip

  1. Melt butter in medium-size saucepan.
  2. Whisk in flour: cook over medium heat 1 minute.
  3. Slowly whisk in milk.
  4. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg and hot-pepper sauce: cook whisking 1-2 minutes or until mixture is very thick.
  5. Let cool: stir occasionally.
  6. Heat oven to 350.
  7. Process garlic, artichoke hearts and spinach in food processor until very smooth.
  8. Stir into cooked sauce.
  9. Reserve 3 Tblsp cheese.
  10. Stir remaining cheese into mixture.
  11. Spoon into 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
  12. Sprinkle with reserved cheese.
  13. Bake in 350 oven for 25 minutes or until heated.
