Crock Pot Choucroute
- 4 cups cabbage green, shredded
- 1 each carrots peeled, shredded
- 16 ounces sauerkraut drained, rinsed well
- 3/4 cups apple cider
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoons caraway seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice ground
- 5 each bacon, canadian style slices, cut in strips
- 1/2 pound turkey kielbasa in 6 pieces
- 1 pound potatoes red, small, new, quartered
- Stir together the cabbage, carrot, sauerkraut, cider, sugar, caraway, and allspice in slow cooker.
- Bury the canadian bacon in the sauerkraut, pressing down to compact.
- Top with kielbasa & potatoes.
- Cover & cook on low for 7 hours, until potatoes are tender.
