Pumpkin-Walnut Pie Bars
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1-3/4 cups flour
- 1-1/2 cups finely chopped walnuts
- 1 can (15 oz/398 mL) pumpkin
- 1 can (300 mL) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup light molasses
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- Icing Sugar Glaze
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Beat butter and sugar in medium bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.
- Gradually beat in flour until well blended.
- Stir in nuts.
- Reserve 3/4 cup flour mixture; press remaining onto bottom of 15x10x1-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake 15 to 18 min.
- or until lightly browned.
- Meanwhile, mix all remaining ingredients except Icing Sugar Glaze until blended.
- Pour pumpkin batter over crust; sprinkle with reserved flour mixture.
- Bake 30 to 35 min.
- or until pumpkin mixture is set in centre.
- Cool completely.
- Drizzle with Icing Sugar Glaze.
