Versatile Chocolate Pie Recipe
- 1 baked pie shell
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tbsp. Hershey's unsweetened powdered chocolate
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- Combine butter, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla, lowfat milk and Hershey's chocolate in saucepan and cook over medium heat till thickened.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Top with meringue made by beating egg whites till stiff and gradually beating in sugar.
- Place pie in 450 degree oven till brown.
- Cold before serving.
- Serves 6-8.
