Honey Fudge Squares
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup liquid honey
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- Melt butter and chocolate in top of double boiler; cool slightly.
- Beat eggs until fluffy.
- Gradually beat in honey, sugar, vanilla and chocolate mixture.
- Stir in sifted dry ingredients and nuts.
- Pour into a greased 9-inch square pan and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350F.
- Cool.
- Spread with chocolate icing or melted semisweet chocolate and cut in squares.
