Beefy Rice Pie Recipe

  1. Here's a quickie recipe from Mr. Food and it is "So Good"!
  2. In large skillet, brown beef and sausage for 8 - 10 mins.
  3. over med.
  4. heat until crumbly and no pink remains.
  5. Drain excess liquid, remove to a med.
  6. bowl, set aside.
  7. In another med.
  8. bowl, combine the tomato sauce and rice, spread half in skillet.
  9. Top with half of meat mix, top with 2 slices mozzarella, sprinkle with 1 Tablespoons parmesan cheese.
  10. Repeat layers.
  11. Cover, cook over med-low heat 8 - 10 mins.
  12. or possibly till cheese melts.
  13. Let sit 5 mins, then slice into wedges, serve immediately.
  14. Optional: Sprinkle with fresh minced parsley or possibly paprika for color.
  15. 4-6 servings.
