So -Easy Sloppy Joes
- 3 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 12 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 -3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 16 sandwich buns, split
- In large skillet, cook ground beef, onions, celery and bell pepper until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently.
- drain.
- in a 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker, combine ground beef mixture and all remaining ingredients, except buns.
- mix well.
- cover.
- cook on low setting 3 to 5 hours, stirring occasionally.
- spoon beef mixture into buns.
