Hot Clam Cheese Dip Recipe
- 1/2 bell pepper, finely minced
- 1 sm. onion, finely minced
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 2 (7 ounce.) cans chopped clams, liquid removed
- 1/4 pound grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3 tbsp. catsup
- 1 tbsp. dry sherry
- Saute/fry pepper and onion in butter for 5 min.
- Add in remaining ingredients.
- Stir in double boiler till cheese melts; don't boil.
- Serve warm with Melba rounds or possibly crackers.
