Grandmother's Popcorn Balls Recipe

  1. Place sugar, Karo, water, butter and salt; set over heat.
  2. Stir till sugar dissolves.
  3. Continue cooking without stirring till syrup forms a brittle ball in cool water (270 degrees).
  4. Remove from stove.
  5. Add in vanilla and stir.
  6. Place corn in bowl and cover with syrup.
  7. Butter hands and form popped corn into balls.
  8. (When balls are cold, can wrap in colored cellophane.)
