Frosted Peanut Butter Brownies
- 1 12 cups butter, divided
- 23 cup baking cocoa, divided
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 18 ounces jar crunchy peanut butter
- 10 marshmallows
- 13 cup milk
- 1 lb package powdered sugar
- Heat 1 cup butter and 1/3 cup baking cocoa in a saucepan over low heat until butter melts; stir often.
- Remove from heat; set aside to cool slightly.
- Combine sugar, flour and salt in a large mixing bowl; blend in chocolate mixture.
- Add eggs and vanilla; spread in a greased jelly-roll pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center removes clean.
- Melt peanut butter; spread over warm brownies.
- Chill for 30 minutes.
- Melt marshmallows and remaining butter with milk in a heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring often; remove from heat.
- Whisk in remaining cocoa; gradually stir in powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Spread over peanut butter layer; refrigerate until firm, at least 20 minutes.
- Cut into squares to serve.
