Libya: Fruit Dessert: Halawah bil-Fawaaki

  1. Combine, plums, apple, peaches, cantaloupe, raisins, lemon juice, and honey in a saucepan; then cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
  2. Add butter, cinnamon and couscous.
  3. Cook over low heat, stirring often, until couscous is done.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and allow to cool for 1 hour.
  5. sprinkle with pistachios just before serving.
  6. 8 servings.
