Braised Pork With Red Bean Cheese Recipe

  2. Cut pork in 1-inch cubes.
  3. Mash red bean cheese.
  4. Crush garlic cloves.
  5. Combine sherry, sugar and soy sauce.

  7. Heat oil in a heavy pan.
  8. Add in salt and crushed garlic.
  9. Stir-fry a few times.
  10. Add in pork and brown quickly on all sides.

  12. Stir in sherry-sugar mix till it evaporates (about 1 minute).
  13. Then stir in mashed red cheese.
  14. 4.
  15. Add in stock and bring to a boil.
  16. Then simmer, covercd, till tender
  17. (about 1-1/2 hrs).
  18. VARIATION: During the last 15 min of cooking, add in 1 to 2 c. Chinese turnips, peeled and cut in 1-inch cubes.
