Almond And Orange Biscotti Recipe
- 2 x Large eggs
- 2 x egg yolks
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 c. caster sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
- 125 gm blanched almonds, roughly minced
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange zest
- 1 Tbsp. lowfat milk

- Pre-heat oven to 180deg.C.
- Line two baking trays with Glad Bake.
- 2.
- Lightly beat 2 whole Large eggs and 1 egg yolk together.
- Add in flour, sugar and baking pwdr and mix to a soft dough.
- Add in almonds and orange zest and knead till combined.
- 3.
- Divide dough into equal portions and roll each piece into a cylinder.
- Using a fork, place remaining egg yolk and lowfat milk in a small bowl and stir to combine.
- Place cylinders of dough onto baking trays and brush with the egg mix.
- 4.
- Bake for about 20 min.
- Remove from oven and cut while warm.
- The dough will be very fragile at this stage.
- Reduce oven temperature to 150deg.C.
- Place slices on baking trays and return to the oven.
- Bake the slices till they have dry.
