No-Cook Strawberry Banana-Split Jam
- 2 cups crushed strawberries Safeway 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 1 cup mashed fully ripe bananas (about 3)
- 3 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 box Certo Pectin Crystals
- Mix fruit and sugar until well blended.
- Let stand 10 min.
- Bring water and pectin to boil in saucepan; boil 1 min., stirring constantly.
- Add to fruit mixture; stir 3 min.
- Pour into clean jars or plastic containers.
- Cover with tight-fitting lids.
- Let stand at room temperature until set.
- (This could take up to 24 hours.)
- Store in freezer.
- Or if jam will be used within 3 weeks, store in refrigerator.
