Red Hook Cocktail

• 2 ounces rye whiskey
• 1/2 ounce Punt e Mes or other sweet vermouth
• 1/4 to 1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur

1. Pour ingredients into a shaker with a generous handful of ice.
2. Stir briskly until well chilled.
3. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve.
