Grandchildren's Favorite Cheese And Macaroni Recipe
- Sm. elbow macaroni
- Mild cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- Sweet lowfat milk
- Salt and pepper
- Put two handsful of macaroni in saucepan.
- Cover with water.
- Add in a sprinkle of salt.
- Cook till tender.
- If any water is left in pan, pour off and put macaroni in casserole dish.
- Cut up good mild cheddar cheese over macaroni till it looks right; maybe 1/4 lb.. Add in egg and sufficient sweet lowfat milk to barely cover.
- Add in sprinkle of salt and pepper.
- Stir together.
- Place in moderate oven and cook till done.
- I stir mine once during cooking to make sure it cooks in the center.
