Balsamic Glazed Sausage And Grapes With Polenta Recipe

  1. To prepare polenta, heat water to boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Pour polenta into boiling water in a thin stream.
  3. Cook, stirring, till soft and thickened, about 5-8 min.
  4. Stir in cheese, butter, salt and pepper.
  5. Cover and keep hot.
  6. To prepare sausage, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Add in sausages; cook, turning, till golden, 8-10 min.
  8. Pierce each sausage a few times with a fork during cooking to prevent skin from bursting.
  9. Remove from pan and set aside.
  10. Add in chicken broth to the pan.
  11. Cook 2 min to reduce slightly.
  12. Stir in balsamic vinegar; then add in grapes.
  13. Cook 1 minute; return sausages to pan.
  14. Stir together till grapes and sausage are hot and glazed.
  15. Season with salt and pepper.
  16. To serve, place polenta on a platter.
  17. Top with sausages.
  18. Spoon grapes and juice over.
