Milano Cookies by Accident

  1. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until smooth.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir in dry ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Divide dough in half and wrap in plastic wrap and chill overnight.
  5. Preheat oven to 400 degrees .
  6. Unwrap one roll of dough and using a metal bench knife or a very sharp knife cut off cookies as thin as you can and place 1 apart on ungreased cookie sheet or parchment paper.
  7. Bake 6-8 minutes but DO NOT BROWN.
  8. Cool.
  9. Spread the melted chocolate between two of the cookies to make a sandwich.
