Appletini

  1. Add the applejack brandy, apple cider, Simple Syrup and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously and strain into 4 chilled glasses.
  3. Float an apple slice on top of each to garnish.
  4. Combine the sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
  5. Cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves.
  6. Remove from the heat and let cool completely.
  7. Keep covered in the refrigerator up to 1 month.
  8. Yield: 1 1/2 cups
