Chocolate Fruit Crumble
- 23 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup quick oats
- 12 cup honey
- 3 ounces coconut oil
- 3 ounces brown sugar
- 4 large apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
- 12 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Mix chocolate chips, oats and honey in a small bowl for the topping.
- Melt coconut oil over medium heat in a large skillet.
- Add sugar and cook together, stirring, until it becomes golden at the edges.
- Add chopped apples and stir.
- Cook 5-10 minutes or until slightly softened.
- Mix in dates and nutmeg.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cornstarch.
- Pour the fruit mixture into a greased 9 inch square pan.
- Spread the topping over the top of the fruit.
- Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until the apples are soft and the topping is crispy.
