How to Easily Peel a Pomegranate
- Score the pomegranate to make it easier to peel.
- Pry open the pomegranate in a bowl of water, and pry away the arils.
- If you pry away the arils outside of the water, the juice will splatter, so be careful.
- If it splatters on your clothes, it will stain them.
- The arils will sink to the bottom, so skim the floating membranes and discard.
- Drain the water, and pat the arils dry with paper towels.
- The seeds are packed with fiber.
- Enjoy eating the seeds, too!
- You can store them in the fridge for 2 to 3 days!
- Storing Method: Spread the arils on a sheet of parchment paper and leave them in the freezer for 2 hours.
- Take them out and seal them in a zip bag.
- They won't stick to each other while stored, so you can conveniently use them as you need.
