best ham egg and cheese grilled sandwich
- 2 slice bread
- 2 egg
- 2 slice ham
- 2 slice american cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- heat griddle or large frying pan, keep on a low enough temp to just melt the butter
- while butter is melting, cut out one hole in the center of your sliced bread.
- you can use just about anything to cut out this circle of bread
- butter only one side of the bread slices that you just cut.
- the butter side goes down in the pan or griddle.
- make sure the butter in the pan or griddle is melted and spread evenly.
- crack the eggs into the hole of the bread, only one egg for each slice
- at this time you should turn the heat up to medium, when the eggs start becoming white, carefully break the yolk, if it hasn't already done so.
- I like to season my eggs at this time with a combo seasoning.
- while the eggs are still cooking, begin to sear the ham
- when the eggs are done enough to be able to flip without making a mess, add the ham directly to the top of the eggs or flip the bread onto the ham.
- the ham should continue to cook with the egg
- when the egg becomes firm, flip the bread and egg over again and apply the cheese to each slice.
- join the slices together and enjoy
bread, egg, ham, american cheese, butter
