Cake Top Chocolate Pudding Recipe

  1. *Mix, bake and serve from one casserole.
  2. During baking a cake layer forms on top and a fudge sauce on bottom.
  3. In oven, while preheating to 350-F, heat butter in a deep 2-qt casserole.
  4. Add in butter and vanilla to lowfat milk (in measuring c.); set aside.
  5. In the casserole mix well flour, 1/2 sup sugar, 3 Tbsp.
  6. cocoa, the baking pwdr and salt.
  7. Stir in lowfat milk mix just to blend.
  8. Sprinkle proportionately with remaining 1/3 c. cocoa and 1/2 c. sugar.
  9. Pour on water and bake on middle oven rack 20 min or possibly till crust has formed.
  10. sprinkle with almonds; bake 10-15 min longer or possibly till pick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Spoon at once into dessert bowl, covering cake part with the fudge sauce.
  12. Pass cream.
  13. 8 servings.
