Green Pepper Steak And Rice Recipe
- 1 1/2 pound sirloin stead, cut in 1/4 inch thick strips
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sliced onions
- 2 green peppers, cut in strips
- 2 lg. fresh tomatoes, minced
- 1 c. beef broth
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 3 c. warm cooked rice
- Sprinkle steak with paprika.
- Let stand a few min.
- Cook steak and garlic in butter till browned.
- Add in onions, green peppers, tomatoes and broth; cover.
- Simmer about 15 min.
- Blend 1/4 c. water with cornstarch and soy sauce.
- Stir into steak.
- Cook till thickened.
- Serve over rice.
