Cedar Planked Salmon With Citrus BBQ Sauce
- 1 small red onion, diced
- 2 garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 12 cups barbecue sauce, preferably homemade
- 12 cup orange marmalade
- 14 cup dill, chopped
- 2 tablespoons orange juice, prefereably fresh
- 1 tablespoon black pepper, coarsely ground

- cedar plank
- Combine the red onion, garlic, green onion, BBQ sauce, marmalade, dill, orange juice and black pepper.
- This can be prepared ahead of time and set aside.
- Presoak a cedar plank by putting it in the sink with a heavy object sitting on top of it for 1/2 a day.
- Preheat the grill.
- Remove the plank from the water.
- Sit the plank on the grill until it smokes a bit, then carefully place the salmon on the plank.
- Cook the salmon until done -- usually until when the milky white juices release, about 20 - 30minutes.
- Discard the plank after using.
