Cedar Planked Salmon With Citrus BBQ Sauce

  1. Combine the red onion, garlic, green onion, BBQ sauce, marmalade, dill, orange juice and black pepper.
  2. This can be prepared ahead of time and set aside.
  3. Presoak a cedar plank by putting it in the sink with a heavy object sitting on top of it for 1/2 a day.
  4. Preheat the grill.
  5. Remove the plank from the water.
  6. Sit the plank on the grill until it smokes a bit, then carefully place the salmon on the plank.
  7. Cook the salmon until done -- usually until when the milky white juices release, about 20 - 30minutes.
  8. Discard the plank after using.
