The Best Sloppy Joes
- 1 pound Ground Beef Or Turkey
- 4 ounces, weight Diced Green Chilies
- 1/2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Prepared Mustard
- 1 whole Small Onion, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Cider Vinegar
- 1/2 cups Ketchup
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 8 ounces, weight Tomato Sauce
- 4 logs Large Hamburger Buns
- Brown hamburger and onion in a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat until the meat is cooked through and no longer pink.
- Remove meat from pan and place on a plate lined with paper towels or bags to drain off the excess fat.
- Once drained, put the meat back into the skillet, turn heat to medium, and add all of the remaining ingredients (except the buns).
- Stir until combined and let it simmer for at least 5-10 minutes or longer if time permits.
- Serve on hamburger buns with a slice of cheese.
